The Cell

smallest functional unit necessary for life. so tiny, but sooooo very important..

why do we go over this every single year?!

it's because most of the disease processes are initiated at the cellular level and from there a disease can affect an organ, particular tissue type, or even the entire organism...

they are responsible for processing our food, turning it into NRG (energy, get it? lol), synthesize complex molecules, and of course replication if they are capable of doing so..

so here we go..
Cell and Tissue Characteristics
